Cancelling, and refunds.

Short, because there are only a few rules. Last revised 11 October 2026.

Cancelling

Any time, from the portal.

On your account page, open Plan & billing and choose Card & invoices — or send GET /v1/portal with your key, which returns the same link. Either way you cancel in Stripe's customer portal. Stripe asks why you are leaving — answering is optional, and it helps us improve. No notice period, nothing to email.

The key keeps working to the end of the period you paid for, then stops, and nothing is charged again.

Refunds

Any payment, within five days.

Changing plan

Change when you need to.

Move sideways or up any time; the difference is charged straight away, prorated to your renewal date. Move down, or to a shorter billing period, and the change takes effect at your next renewal; you keep your current plan until then. Packs and extra languages work the same way: adding is charged now; removing takes effect at renewal and is not refunded.

Once you change plan, the payment before the change is no longer refundable — only what the change itself cost. Within 5 days of a change, the Undo this change button on your account page puts you straight back on the plan you had and refunds what the change cost on the next refund Friday. The 5 days run from your first change in the billing period; several changes within them are undone together, back to the plan you started the period with. An undo counts toward the refund limit, cannot itself be undone, and is possible once in 30 days. No undo after a renewal, and none between monthly and yearly — for those, write within 5 days of the change.

Asking

One address.

Refunds are asked for on your account page (Plan & billing → Ask for a refund, or Undo this change after a plan change) and are paid on the refund Friday without anyone having to approve them. A third refund for the same person — across every account, address and card — is checked by a person first. For a duplicate or mistaken purchase, write to

hello@aurith.ca, from the address on the subscription. A chargeback instead of an email revokes the key at once — see Terms — so write first.
